Camp Weloki offers week-long overnight summer camps for teenage girls where kids can learn valuable life lessons, have crazy camp fun, and create memories of a lifetime. We know the value of girls getting away from technology and just being kids in nature. Dr. Tim Jordan started these overnight summer camps for teenage girls to help girls unplug. He teaches girls the everyday skills that help them succeed in life.
Like all subjects, emotional intelligence skills take practice to master, and as a child grows the information gets more in-depth. We also offer weekend retreats during the school year to introduce new girls to our program and to help keep the learning going for our returning campers. Our returning campers & parents understand that as life changes the new tools needed are built with the skills they have already learned.
Dr. Tim Jordan along with our great instructing staff helps to foster a safe environment so that everyday girls can learn life skills and understand the world a little better. Our returning campers & parents understand that as life changes the new tools needed are built with the skills they have already learned.
TIME FOR LEARNING
We created Camp Weloki so a diverse group of girls could have a safe haven to talk about the normal challenges they face growing up. We have “classroom time” everyday where through open discussion, roleplaying, and experiential exercises, campers have the opportunity to share, gain support and learn from each other and their counselors.
Camp Weloki is a place where:
- people really listen and connect with your experiences
- girls can be real, honest, authentic, and accepted
- girls define leadership, power, and success on their own terms
OVERNIGHT SUMMER CAMPS FOR TEENAGE GIRLS STAFF
Our counselors are the heart and soul of Camp Weloki. They understand the importance of the role they play in their camper’s lives. 75% of our counselors are past campers who return to give back what they received. They know overnight summer camps for teenage girls from the inside out which helps them relate to campers. We look for people who are safe, nurturing, fun, understanding, and great role models! Dr. Tim personally selects and trains our staff.
