Camp Butterfly – Camp Weloki's Summer Home

Directions
Over 1000 acres located between Farmington, Missouri and Ste. Genevieve, Missouri in the rolling hills of the Missouri wine country. As you drive past the gate you can feel yourself slowdown. Camp Butterfly seems far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

There are two villages for girls each with rustic and cozy cabins built in shady wooded areas. Each cabin has electricity and each village has its own modern bath house with hot showers and flush toilets.

There are two 75 acre lakes separated by a levee and spill way that makes a great waterfall for cooling off on warm summer days. We spend a lot of our days at the lake, playing at the beach, swimming, fishing, canoeing and using the paddleboats. The sunsets at the lake are breathtaking and seem to slow the entire camp down for just a bit.

Camp Butterfly has many miles of great hiking trails that lead to some really cool geological formations. "Stairway to Heaven" and "Mushroom Rock" are just a few of the highlights.

We lease this property from the Girl Scouts/Council Bluffs. This has been the summer home of Camp Weloki starting in 1995. We did take a few summers off while some improvements were made. We are delighted to be back.

Directions: Take I-55 south to Route 67 south (exit 174 B to Farmington). Stay on Route 67 to Route 32 east (the second Route 32
exit) which exits to the left, into Farmington. Stay on Route 32 until you come to Route 00. Follow Route 00 until it intersects with
Route F. Turn left on Route F and stay on it for approximately 7 miles. As you pass the sign for Route AA, check your odometer.
Camp Butterfly’s entrance is one mile from this intersection. Stay on Route F for one mile. As you come around a curve, and look
ahead, it will appear that a barn roof is directly in the road ahead. Continue on toward the barn roof and you will come straight toward
the camp gate, making a left onto Pleasant Hill Church Road (a gravel road). Camp entrance is straight ahead.
